Vibram, maker of high-performance soles and creator of the Vibram FiveFingers articulated toe shoe, is has announced Burten Distribution as the exclusive distributor for Vibram’s Furoshiki line of footwear in the U.S.
“We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Burten Distribution,” said Chris Melton, sales director of the Americas for Vibram Corp. “Burten has been selling to comfort shoe and luxury footwear dealers for over 30 years, which will help Vibram in our focus to expand distribution of Furoshiki in the US.”
Vibram Furoshiki, the Wrapping Sole, features an easy-on, multi-use, adjustable fit, packable, and “on the go” minimalist design. It offers a flexible fabric wrap-around design for a comfortable fit, with a lightly cushioned foot-bed for support and Vibram outsoles for tremendous traction. Inspired by the Japanese art of furoshiki, which involves the wrapping of any type of object in a single length of fabric, Vibram Furoshiki The Wrapping Sole is based on a Vibram XS City rubber sole, which guarantees durability and grip on urban surfaces. The fabric selected by the company to create the upper is Sensitive Fabrics by Eurojersey.
