Vibram appointed Paolo Manuzzi as its new global general manager.

Since joining Vibram in 1993, Manuzzi, 46, has helped shape the company and contributed greatly to its substantial growth and success over the past couple decades. Mannuzzi started his career responsible for Italian and Spanish markets before becoming international sales director in 2001. In his working life in Vibram, Paolo was also responsible for opening Vibram offices in the United States and Japan.

The yellow octagon’s choice to commit the new position to a figure who has a deep knowledge of the history and the company values confirms Vibram’s will to develop new strategies in order to strengthen the brand reputation towards the final consumers. At the same time, the commercial and economic dynamics’ knowledge gained by Manuzzi will reinforce the relationships with the business to business sector.

The global general manager position will be effective from May 2015 and Paolo Manuzzi will report directly to Marco Bramani, Vibram’s president and chief executive officer.

In late April, Vibram announced that CEO Antonio Dus has resigned. Vibram president and chairman of the board Marco Bramani, the grandson of founder Vitale Bramani, took over as interim CEO.
