Vans will be moving from Cypress to Costa Mesa, according to a report from the Orange County Register.
The
announcement was made at Tuesday night’s Costa Mesa City Council
meeting.
Vans is purchasing the three-story building on 15 acres near
Harbor
Boulevard and the 405 freeway, near the South Coast Collection, or SOCO.
The move is expected to be completed by January 2017. Its headquarters
staff is expected to expand to 500 by 2017, up from 400 currently.
Steve
Van Doren, vice president of events and promotions and son of
co-founder Paul Van Doren, told the newspaper that the brand, which is
turning 50 in 2016, will be returning to the town where it opened its
first retail store.
