Vans has hired Ian Ginoza, most recently global vice president, culture marketing, at Adidas, as VP, advisor, creative director, Pinnacle. Ginoza will lead collaborations with designers and creatives.
Ginoza has collaborated with brands and designers, including Supreme, Sacai, Dover Street Market, Fear Of God, Jun Takahashi, and Off White by Virgil Abloh.
Before joining Adidas in October 2020, he was vice president of influence and experience marketing at Syng; global footwear senior director of collaborations and special projects, Nike; and global director of collaborations, Converse. He also cofounded Kicks/HI in Honolulu and Saint Alfred in Chicago.
“Starting as a sneaker shop entrepreneur in Hawaii, Vans was one of the first brands that not only supported my business but also genuinely cared about where I came from and was active in my local community,“ Ginoza said. “For me, it feels like I am coming home, and I’m incredibly excited to join the brand and help lead its continued approach to drive brand heat through pinnacle collections and experiences.”
