Puma Q4 Revenues Jump 20 Percent

Puma wrapped up 2018 by reporting significant earnings gains in the fourth quarter on a 20.1 percent revenue gain. For 2019, Puma expects earnings to climb 23 percent on a 10 percent sales increase.

HanesBrands Achieves Leadership Position in CDP 2018 Report

HanesBrands announced that it earned an A- score and took a leadership position in the CDP 2018 Climate Change Report. Hanes has voluntarily reported its carbon emissions data since 2010 to CDP, which was formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project.

Puma And NBA Announce Multiyear Partnership

The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Puma announced a new multiyear partnership that will make Puma an official marketing partner of the NBA. Puma will be able to feature athletes in their respective NBA uniforms and team logos.

Garmin Ltd. announced that one of its affiliates has signed a definitive agreement to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Tacx Onroerend en Roerend Goed B.V (Tacx), a privately-held Dutch company that designs and manufacturers indoor bike trainers, tools and accessories, as well as indoor training software and applications.

BSN Sports Acquires Johnny Mac’s

BSN Sports has acquired the team sports business of Johnny Mac’s Sporting Goods, based in St. Louis.  All nine of Johnny Mac’s stores are expected to close.

Under Armour Q4 Beats Wall Street’s Expectations

Under Armour Inc. reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter earnings and revenue, boosted by apparel sales and growth overseas. North America revenue decreased 6 percent but losses in the region were significantly reduced. The company maintained its outlook for 2019.
