Macy’s Q3 Same-Store Sales Jump 37 Percent

Target’s Q3 Same-Store Sales Climb 13 Percent

Target Corp. reported comparable sales grew 12.7 percent in the third quarter on top of 20.7 percent growth last year. Brian Cornell, CEO, said, “Our third-quarter comp increase of 12.7 percent was driven entirely by traffic, and reflects continued strength in our store sales, same-day digital fulfillment services and double-digit growth in all five of our core merchandising categories.”

Retail Sales Jump In October

The U.S. Census Bureau said overall retail sales in October were up 1.7 percent seasonally adjusted from September and up 16.3 percent year-over-year.

On Holding AG, in its first report since going public, reported sales grew 68 percent in the third quarter as sales continued to accelerate in all channels, regions and product categories. Adjusted EBITDA ran up 67.9 percent and the gross margin reached 60.2 percent, up from 54.5 percent a year ago.

ISPO Munich And OutDoor By ISPO Permanently Shift To New Dates

Together with sports and outdoor brands, retailers and industry associations, Messe München made two major changes effective immediately—ISPO Munich will be held permanently at the end of November, thus leaving the previous January date, and OutDoor by ISPO is moving permanently from the end of June to the end of May/beginning of June.
