Turtleson, founded by Greg Oakley and Chet Sikorski in 2011, celebrated the career of Account Executive Grover Walker with a retirement party at the PGA Show in Orlando, FL.
With over 50 years of experience, Walker has represented Izod Lacoste, Corbin, Bobby Jones, and, most recently, Turtleson. His career has included booking business at some of golf’s most prestigious tournaments domestically and internationally, including the Masters, U.S. Open, PGA Championship, Ryder Cup, and Presidents Cup.
“Grover is the definition of dedication and perseverance,” said Greg Oakley, co-founder and CEO, Turtleson. “His work ethic, exemplary customer service and passionate knowledge of tailored clothing and sportswear have set him apart throughout his career. He will be greatly missed here at Turtleson, but we were honored to celebrate his remarkable journey in Orlando last week. We are grateful for his countless contributions and wish him nothing but the best in his next chapter.”
In addition to honoring Grover, Turtleson has named Tammy Kaminsky, who joined the company in 2022 with over 30 years of experience representing global brands, to replace Walker.
Before rejoining specialty retail, Kaminsky focused on the golf side of the Turtleson business, specifically in the MET PGA Section. She spent her time growing the golf business and building relationships.
“I’m thrilled to be coming back to the men’s specialty market with Turtleson while continuing the momentum with Turtleson Golf in the MET section, said Kaminsky. “It is an absolute privilege to be chosen for the opportunity to follow in Grover’s legendary footsteps. He is my mentor, my friend and I am grateful to have the honor of representing Turtleson in his former role.”
Turtleson manufactures men’s and women’s performance apparel, including polo shirts, wovens, layering pieces, sweaters, bottoms, and outerwear. Worldwide golf clubs, resorts and retailers carry the Turtleson line.
