TriggerPoint Performance, a division of the Implus Corporation, has become a Training Partner of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Founded in 1933, the Pittsburgh Steelers are the oldest franchise in the AFC, having won more Super Bowl titles and having hosted more conference championships games than any other team in the NFL. TriggerPoint first worked with the team’s strength and conditioning coaches during the 2012 – 2013 season and will now fully integrate its products and education methodologies within the Steelers training regime to help the team continue to compete and recover at their best.

As part of the partnership, the Steelers received a robust line of TriggerPoint’s patented massage and recovery tools, including the GRID and GRID X foam rollers, TP Massage and TP Factor Balls, and the new handheld foam roller, the GRID STK. TriggerPoint will also educate the team by providing hands-on foam rolling courses designed to teach the principles and practices of proper foam rolling techniques and how best to incorporate the tools in their daily workouts.

“The Steelers have a history of athletic excellence and TriggerPoint is proud to be a part of such an iconic franchise,” said Marco Garsed, Vice President of Marketing. “Preparation and recovery are key elements to a team’s success and we believe TriggerPoint’s products and education will help prepare the athletes for the rigorous demands of the sport.”

“Proper muscle recovery plays a critical role in optimizing performance to ensure our athletes function at the highest level,” said Marcel Pastoor, Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. “Our partnership with TriggerPoint provides the necessary tools to keep our athletes healthy and on the field.”

TriggerPoint is committed to providing product education for all levels of athletes, from the professional to exercise enthusiasts. The company recently released their new online education portal, which allows for access through both web and mobile platforms and users have the option to ‘favorite’ videos for easy access.
