For the second year in a row, TriggerPoint Performance Therapy has donated a portion of their October sales to Barbells For Boobs, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the early detection of breast cancer, with an emphasis on women and men under the age of 40. The donation, which exceeded $8,000, was raised through sales of the popular GRID® foam rollers in the color pink during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Empowering people with the necessary tools to take care of their bodies is at the very core of our mission, said Founder Cassidy Phillips. Partnering with likeminded organizations such as Barbells for Boobs provides us an opportunity to expand on our mission by helping a company that shares those similar values.

Since their inception in 2009, Barbells for Boobs has provided over 12,000 procedures and has detected nearly 80 cases of breast cancer in persons under the age of 40, including 3 men. Typically, breast cancer screening does not start until age 40. Barbells for Boobs provides funding to breast centers nationally as a resource for thousands of men and women who do not qualify for government funding or other charitable resources in the detection of breast cancer. Their 2014 fundraising goal is $4 million, raised through partnerships with CrossFit studios and other fitness brands, including TriggerPoint.
