Trek Technologies, d.b.a. Trek-Tech inked a partnership with the StuffBak, a loss-protection-and-recovery service.

The new StuffBak feature provides consumers with a service designed to recover lost possessions. As part of a TrekPod product purchase, consumers will receive a tamper-resistant ID label, which they can activate at no charge. The unique number on the label is linked to the contact owner information in the StuffBak database. Finders contact StuffBak via a tollfree number or website when a lost item is found. StuffBak coordinates the returns and provides a $20-value reward (plus an optional cash reward from the owner). A recovered item is shipped directly to the registered owner.

“TrekPod customers are on the go, and carry expensive portable devices,” said StuffBak President Karen Edwards. “It's a terrible feeling to leave something behind without proper identification and contact information on the item. StuffBak replaces desperate lost and found searches of the past with a sensible service designed for today's mobile world. With a proven 75% recovery rate, our service is a significant time- and money-saver. We’re pleased to extend this peace-of-mind benefit to TrekPod customers.”

“The StuffBak protection service is a terrific fit with our product”, said Ed Israel, VP of Sales & New Business Development for Trek-Tech. “The TrekPod System is the ultimate accessory for just about any optical device and was designed for hikers, photographers, birders and wildlife enthusiasts on the go”, said Israel. “We say, with the TrekPod you will never miss that perfect shot- and now with the added StuffBak protection, you don’t have to lose that perfect shot either.”
