Trek Bicycle will begin transitioning this April its business in Poland to a ‘Dealer Direct’ distribution model. Trek expects the transition, done in cooperation with their distributor partner SSC, will take approximately 4 months to complete.

During the transition period Trek retailers will be able to purchase product directly from Trek or SSC according to availability.

Starting July 1,  SSC will end their distribution of Trek and Bontrager products in order to focus on their retail business.

“Trek and SSC have cooperated for over ten successful years,” commented SSC Managing Director Marek Pstrusiñski. “The fact that in the future Trek will take care of distribution is the natural step for both Trek and SSC.”

“Trek will begin offering a full range of products and directly servicing customers in Poland in April 2012 supported by local sales people and our global infrastructure,” said Trek’s European Director Malcolm Davies. “We will build on the solid foundation that SSC has provided to continue developing the Trek brand in Poland and by July 2012 our intention is to add the wide range of dealer services that our customers in Europe typically enjoy.”
