Torque Fitness, which develops customized training solutions and equipment for health clubs and training centers, hired industry veteran Tim Block as national accounts sales manager, where he will serve existing accounts and continue developing direct sales with new business.
The company says it brought Block on board after an increased demand for its innovative functional training products.
With 25 years of experience in the fitness industry, Block (pictured right) most recently was the national key account manager at Precor Inc., where he exceeded sales goals from 2008-2014 and grew key account business over nearly nine years. Previously at Precor, Block served as a territory manager, responsible for direct sales to health clubs, and a dealer manager for the central U.S. region.
Block also spent nine years at the Nautilus Group, where he was a dealer manager for Nautilus, Stairmaster, Schwinn and Quinton products across six states, and was a territory manager for Stairmaster. He also has worked for a specialty fitness equipment retailer and several health clubs.

Based in Charleston, SC, Block will report to Dettinger.
