Tommy Caldwell has agreed to sign on as the newest member of the La Sportiva athlete stable.
One of the most prolific and driven climbers on the rock today, Caldwells resume at age 21 is stocked with history-making first ascents, free ascents and routes all over the planet. And, hes just getting started.
“Climbing is in my blood,” says Caldwell who has been climbing since age three. “It gives me passion, energy and excitement. La Sportiva gives me confidence.
La Sportiva is thrilled to welcome Caldwell to our team, which also includes his wife, Beth Rodden.
“I live for the challenge and experiences of climbing and Im always looking for ways to improve,” he says.
Caldwell and Rodden call Estes Park, Colo., home. Hes known for countless first ascents, some of his most notables are the first free ascent of El Capitans The Muir Wall and Lurking Fear. Caldwell also recently sent Kryptonite (5.14d) in Colorados Fortress of Solitude.
