Timbuk2 awarded its branding and marketing account to Gargantua Design, the design and branding unit of Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners. On behalf of Timbuk2, Gargantua will create a total branding identify for the company's growing product line including the creation of marketing collateral, catalogs, as well as print and online materials. Gargantua will also be responsible for developing a cohesive system that integrates Timbuk2 products by 'family' of product lines.

“As a product born and built on the streets of San Francisco, Timbuk2 has a real brand personality that we will utilize in developing their brand, collateral and design elements,” said Eric Baldwin from Gargantua. “This is a terrific assignment for us as it allows us to use our expertise of the retail marketplace combined with strategic design capabilities.”

Known first as a creator of durable, street-smart messenger bags, Timbuk2 has expanded into a dealer and distributor of a full line of bags and accessories that are sold through large outdoor specialty retailers, smaller independent bike/outdoor shops, Apple retail stores and various online channels.
