Authorities in New Hampshire have arrested and charged a man with murdering an employee at Timberland’s headquarters in Stratham, NH, according to a report from NBC.
The employee, a 46-year-old woman, was found dead at Timberland’s main offices on Sunday afternoon.
Robert Pavao of Maine had been arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree murder in connection with the woman’s death.
Timberland is owned by VF Corp., which forwarded the following statement to SGB Media from Timberland on Monday morning:
“It is with extreme sadness that we share news of the loss of a beloved member of the Timberland community,” the brand said. “The incident took place on Sunday, February 9, at our Stratham, New Hampshire, headquarters. Police are actively investigating and have a suspect in custody; we are cooperating fully with authorities. We extend our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones as they process this senseless tragedy.”
According to NBC, the authorities’ report said Pavao was scheduled to appear in court Monday for allegedly “knowingly causing the death of an adult female by assaulting her” and “recklessly causing the death of an adult female under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by assaulting her.”
