The North Face flagship store in Whistler Village unveiled its new layout.

I was really excited to work with Vail Resorts and Origin on the store refresh … the hand-drawn interpretation of Whistler village, three-dimensional topographic maps of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains and a Pro Project display wall featuring the resort’s on-mountain professionals, are just some of the highlights of the updated design.”

<span style="color: #333333;">The 4,500-square-foot retail space has been an iconic retail landmark since it first opened in 2010. The latest architectural design elements engage the customer in an inviting and unique way.

Kate Zessel, a local artist, designed an interactive map of Whisler, pictured above, including season-specific illustrations and hot spots in the village. Art installations throughout the space—inspired by The North Face athletes and product designers for the brand—are strategically placed for a broader shopping experience. And the floor space offers ease of travel through new fixtures and cash desk wraps.

“The North Face Store team were pleased to be a part of our location’s refresh project with The North Face Canada and Origin. The updates have helped elevate the guest experience by providing a visually appealing shopping environment with an enhanced connection to the community.” — Harry Potter, store manager for Vail Resorts.
