The North Face and JanSport will move their headquarters operations from San Leandro, CA to Alameda, CA in fall 2011, the Oakland Tribune reported.

The two companies, both units of VF Corp., will move from an office park in San Leandro to new buildings on a 13.7-acre waterfront parcel in Alameda. The companies employ about 350 people at their current site, including warranty and customer service departments.

The North Face returned to San Leandro in 2001 after moving briefly to Colorado. That year, it was acquired by VF Corp., which relocated JanSport and Lucy Sportswear to the San Leandro site.
