The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) announced a partnership with OC Sports, through a combined merchandise, licensing and sponsor agreement. The agreement names OC Sports as the official on-field headwear of the Atlantic League and its eight clubs. OC Sports also becomes one of the founding partners of the League’s “Authentic Team Issue” collection of on-field products available to fans.

“We are excited and honored to be named as the official on-field cap for the Atlantic League,” said Jeremy Laney, EVP Sales and Marketing at OC Sports, a division of Outdoor Cap Company, Inc. “The Atlantic League brings an innovative outlook to the game of baseball and provides their fans a quality on-field experience. This partnership brings our highest on-field brand visibility to date allowing us to showcase our state-of-the-art performance fabrics and styles at the professional level.”

The Team Sports Division of Outdoor Cap, the parent company of OC Sports, has more than two decades of experience in the industry and is dedicated to delivering quality, service and innovation. In addition to ALPB, the company is currently licensed with MLB, MiLB and NCAA.

“OC Sports has established an excellent reputation in the sports headwear industry through its brand recognition and loyal customer base,” explained Rick White, President of the Atlantic League. “We are excited to provide our teams exclusively with high-quality, design-forward, performance headwear that represents the Atlantic League’s progressive image.”

OC Sports is the first league-wide exclusive headwear partner of ALPB. Teams from the Atlantic League will wear OC Sports headwear during 2015 and future seasons. Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, OC Sports will actively collaborate with ALPB clubs to design custom on-field caps under the “Authentic Team Issue” banner and will make the authentic designs, plus others, available to consumers. The League will also act as a high level, working laboratory to experiment with new headwear silhouettes, fabric and material technologies, and decorating techniques.
