Sweaty Betty, which was founded in London in 1998, recently opened its first two stores in the U.S. stores in the last four months – one in the Soho district in New York City and one in Greenwich, CO. A third is being planned for 2014.
Sweaty Betty, which aims “to inspire women to find empowerment through fitness,” has 33 stores in the U.K., including concessions in famous London department stores Harrods and Selfridges. It was founded by Simon and Tamara Hill-Norton, who are husband and wife.
Apparel offerings are said to be slightly higher than Lululemon. The stores also offer free yoga and fitness classes.
