Sturm, Ruger & Company Inc. appointed Bruce Pettet, president and CEO of Leupold & Stevens Inc., the manufacturer of telescopic sights, red dot sights, binoculars, rangefinders, spotting scopes, and eyewear located in Beaverton, OR, to its board, according to a regulatory filing.
Pettet also currently serves on the Board of Governors for the National Shooting Sports Foundation and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF), and on the Board of Directors for Stimson Lumber Company.
Pettet will serve as an independent director. Ruger’s board has not yet determined Pettet’s future Board committee appointments.
The appointment expands Ruger’s board size to 10 from nine.
