Studio Pilates International, headquartered in Wilmington, NC, continues to accelerate expansion through a franchise-based model with over 114 locations in Australia, New Zealand, the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and China.
Founded in 2002 by former Olympic swimmer Jade Winter and his wife, Tanya Winter, a licensed physical therapist, the duo designed Studio Pilates “to fill a gap in the group fitness market, leveraging their sports and physical therapy expertise.”
In 2024, Studio Pilates International reports that total client visits “surged to 2,265,498, a 29 percent increase from 2023.” The company expanded with “20 new studios, growing from 91 to 111 locations, with network sales rising 36 percent, totaling $52.6 million. The company also “trained over 4,000-plus new instructors and welcomed over 40-plus new mentors.”
As of April 2025, Studio Pilates operates 114 studios globally, “with 60-plus more in development.” On April 5, 2025, the brand opened its 114th studio in Oakville, Ontario, a Toronto suburb, marking its second Canadian location.
“This growth reflects the strong demand for our results-driven, science-based Pilates method,” said Jade Winter. “We’re proud to support our franchisees and instructors as we expand into new markets and bring the Studio Pilates experience to more communities worldwide.”
