On the very first stop of his 24-hour tour with the coveted Stanley Cup trophy, Nick Leddy, member of the 2013 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks and Shock Doctor brand ambassador, visited the offices of Minnesota's own Shock Doctor Sports on Thursday afternoon, July 11.

The former standout defenseman of Eden Prairie High School and the University of Minnesota played in all 23 playoff games for the Blackhawks this season, logging two assists on the way to the championship.

To celebrate the championship, Leddy showed off the Stanley Cup, met with Shock Doctor employees and their families, while signing autographs and posing for photos.

As the tradition goes, each member of the Stanley Cup winning team gets the Cup for a period of approximately 24 hours to do with it what they choose.  Leddy, a native of Eden Prairie, Minn, spent his day with the Stanley Cup in his hometown to put the cap on one of the world's most celebrate team sports accomplishments. His final stop will be on July 12 at his alma mater, the University of Minnesota, where he will celebrate with current players and coaches.

“It is an honor for me to be able to bring the Stanley Cup home with me and share in the victory with all of those people who have helped me get to where I am as a player and as a person,” said Leddy. “It is very important to me to share this celebration with my friends, family and the entire State of Hockey.”

Said Tony Armand, Shock Doctor Sports CEO, “Nick is a true testament to hard work, dedication and a passion for sports.  We are thrilled for him having earned hockey's highest achievement, and we are extremely proud to have him as a member of the Shock Doctor roster of professional athletes who trust and rely upon our products.”
