Sports Specialists Ltd. (SSL) appointed Tyler Lockard as interim president.
Previously vice president, merchandising and trade shows for the organization, Lockard will continue to oversee merchandising for the buying group and as its interim president.
Steve Rogers, previously president of the organization for 30 years, will continue as a consultant during the transition period.
Rogers said, “I am excited for the future of SSL and Tyler with this well-deserved appointment as interim president of the company. Since my recent return to Sports Specialists, Ltd, he has demonstrated how ready he is for this new challenge. He “gets it” when it comes down to knowing what this organization’s real heart and soul is and always has been… it’s the people, and the relationships that make us uniquely who we are.”
SSL is a buying group of 56 members and over 200 storefronts in the U.S. Founded in 1971, SSL, headquartered in Golden, CO, co-hosts the Winter Sports Market held in the Calvin L. Rampton Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, UT.
