Smith on Thursday announced that Mark Phares has re-joined the company as the new vice president of global sales.
Phares previously spent 17 years within the Smith organization in various sales and management roles, before serving as director of sales overseeing the Western U.S. at OluKai for the past four years.
“I’m extremely grateful and excited about the opportunity to rejoin Smith. I’m fortunate to have been part of a number of really great brands, but being back at Smith is a bit of a homecoming for me,” Phares said. “Smith is extremely special – the people, the culture, and the product. Together it’s a winning formula, and I’m really looking forward to the challenge, and helping the team continue to take the brand to the next level.”
Phares will share time between his home in California and Smith’s Pacific Design Center in Portland, OR. He reports to Steve Wright, CCO of Safilo and the Global Sport Channel.
