Smartwool announced Tuesday the company has hired Josh Novis as the company’s Canadian sales manager, a new position created to allow Smartwool to better serve the company’s customers in Canada.
Canada is the fastest-growing region globally at Smartwool. This team expansion shows how Smartwool is continuing to invest in the business to maintain and build the brand’s momentum. In this vital role, Novis will work directly with the Smartwool sales team and directly with key accounts.
“Josh’s proven experience promoting premium products and supporting specialty retail aligns perfectly for our thriving business,” said Corey Stecker, sales and marketing director for Canada. “As we grow, we want to be more sophisticated and responsive and easier to do business with in the ever-changing world of retail. By working closely with our sales team and directly with retailers, Josh will elevate our service and make us even better partners.”
Novis has more than 12 years of experience in sales management, sales operations and product development in the sporting goods and outdoor industries. Before joining the Smartwool team, he worked for ASSOS of Switzerland, most recently as the sales manager for North America and previously as the business development manager. Prior to that, he worked for Guru Cycles as a sales manager and sales representative. He also made career stops at Outdoor Gear Canada and SPASO Sports.
