Slumberjack will move its corporate headquarters to the Boulder, Colo. area. In conjunction with the move, Slumberjack also announced the hiring of Geoff O’Keeffe as the company’s new president. O’Keeffe has worked in the outdoor specialty channel for more than 30 years, holding leadership positions with well known companies such as Pacifica LTM (Mountainsmith), Lowe Alpine Systems, PlanetOutdoors.com and Patagonia.

“For more than 50 years, Slumberjack has been one of the leading brands in the outdoor specialty market,” said Eric Reinsfelder, vice president of marketing. “The move to Colorado and the hiring of Geoff O’Keeffe reinforces our commitment to the specialty and sporting goods channel and helps to solidify our position as one of the most well established and strongest brands in the categories we compete.”

O’Keeffe adds, “I am pleased to join the fine team at Slumberjack. This brand has an excellent history and considerable traction in the market and we are well poised to enhance our presence and prestige. Operating as a team, thinking strategically and approaching business as science are all competitive requirements these days, and I see the commitment to these essential disciplines in our leadership. I’m excited to accomplish our move and get rolling.”

O’Keeffe’s official start date was April 23, 2007. Slumberjack’s new corporate headquarters will be fully operational during the fall of 2007. Some of the current team will be relocating, while others will remain in the St. Louis office in different support roles.
