Skins Compression announced its latest partnership with the Timex Team. As the “Official Compression Supplier of the Timex Multisport Team” and the “Official Compression Supplier of the Timex Factory Team,” the compression sportswear brand is proving its continued dedication to the world of sport. As part of the arrangement, the Timex Team (both the men’s team and women’s team) will be able to train and compete in the latest technology-driven compression garments designed for active use and recovery.

Formed in 2001, the Timex Team is the longest running, professional managed multisport team in the world today. The team is comprised of 50 athletes – featuring both male and female athletes, as well as both professional and amateur athletes – ranging in age from 23 to 65 years old. The team has members from eight countries and claims such noted athletes as 11-time Ironman champion Viktor Zyemtsev, 2012 Ironman Canada champion Matt Russell, 2012 Ironman Louisville runner up Jackie Arendt, 2012 USAT Masters Triathlete of the year Chris Thomas and a member of the first Ironman in Hawaii in 1978 Dave Orlowski.

“Our partnership with the Timex Team is a testament to our continued desire to support elite athletes across a variety of sports and help gifted athletes reach their full potential,” said Johnny West, General Manager of Skins North America. “The team has athletes from a wide range of backgrounds, and Skins is designed to help all of them achieve their goals and move beyond their already impressive results to reach new levels of performance. We’ll be cheering on the Timex Team throughout the year as they continue to push the boundaries of triathlons and Ironman competitions.”

Skins active use products have been engineered to provide the correct level of surface pressure to specific parts of the body in order to trigger acceleration in blood flow, which means that the teams will receive increased oxygen to their working muscles – resulting in enhanced performance to their power, speed and stamina.

Used in conjunction with Skins recovery products, the Timex Team will also be able to recover faster between events as the gradient compression delivers more oxygen-rich blood to resting muscles, and by doing so, reduces tenderness and delayed onset muscle soreness. Skins clothing is unique in the market because its products are body mapped to compress certain muscles with varying degrees of pressure for superior fit and results.

The Timex Team is energized to join with Skins for the upcoming season. Our athletes have intense training and competition schedules and Skins superior product line offers them the ability to race and recover faster and faster.” said Tristan Brown, manager of the Timex Team. “Improved recovery and performance gives our athletes the boost they need to edge out the competition and reach for even higher athletic levels.”

Skins compression wear is designed to help athletes reach their peak performance with products developed for specific sports and levels of activity. Whatever the sport, Skins allows athletes to train harder, compete longer and recover faster.
