US Lacrosse has announced a multi-year extension with Sisu Mouthguards as the official mouthguard of US Lacrosse and Team USA. Sisu has been a partner of US Lacrosse since 2016.
“Our partnership with Sisu Mouthguards exemplifies the authentic, meaningful and collaborative relationship we aim to foster with our corporate partners,” said Brett Hurwitz, vice president of marketing and communications for US Lacrosse. “From their support of US Lacrosse diversity and inclusion initiatives to the value they provide the US Lacrosse member, Sisu is genuinely committed to growing the game of lacrosse, and we look forward to continuing our work together.”
“US Lacrosse has helped us make big strides in lacrosse, especially on the East Coast. We’re excited to attend the US Lacrosse West Regional Conference next month and continue to bring superior comfort and dental protection to one of the country’s fastest growing sports,” said Sassa Akervall, CEO and majority owner of Akervall Technologies, Inc., makers of Sisu Mouthguards.
Sisu Mouthguards are ultra-thin yet protective dental shields that allow players to talk, breathe and drink naturally. Made from a non-compressible material, Sisu Mouthguards act as a shield for your teeth and deflect impact forces. Scientifically engineered perforations help create a custom fit that stays in the player’s mouth during the entire game. All Sisu Mouthguards meet the US Lacrosse mouthguard requirements except for the color white.
Sisu will provide mouthguards for the U.S. men’s and women’s national teams, youth development programs and to support US Lacrosse diversity and inclusion efforts. US Lacrosse members are eligible for a 15 percent discount on Sisu products through the US Lacrosse member discounts program.
Sisu Mouthguards are manufactured by Akervall Technologies Inc. (ATI), headquartered in Saline, MI. ATI was recognized as one of Inc. 5000’s fastest growing companies in the United States for 2016, 2017 and 2018. Sassa and Jan Akervall are recipients of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards (NE Ohio and Michigan).
