Sierra Designs hired David Kauffmann, as associate product manager, and Michael Gilbert to lead the brand’s wholesale distribution. Several new marketing hires were also announced.
Kauffmann transferred internally from Exxel’s dealer service department. Prior to jumping on board at Exxel, Kauffmann held the role of associate product manager-coolers at the Coleman Company in Golden, CO.
Gilbert joins SD after managing retailer relationships as an in-house territory manager for both Kelty and Sierra Designs. Gilbert is complemented in markets outside the United States by international sales manager Roman Lopukh, who continues his role growing Sierra Designs globally.
Sierra Designs is also bolstering its marketing team, announcing two additions to support global marketing efforts for the brand. Sophie Ballo recently joined the team as SD’s social media manager. She comes to SD following work as the digital community specialist with Bell Helmets, and before that she was the North American marketing manager for Rapha Racing.
Finally, Ryan Bertrand is stepping in as the sales and marketing coordinator. Bertrand held a similar position for Boulder-based Zeal Optics and will be supporting SD’s creative team in the production and global distribution of all brand marketing materials.
