Aston Villa FC, the professional football club in Aston, Birmingham, has terminated the team’s partnership with Under Armour.

The two-year partnership was ended by mutual consent. The deal was first formed in 2016 and was due to run five years, through 2021.

A statement on the club’s Twitter account read: “Aston Villa can confirm that the club and its technical partner, Under Armour, have mutually decided to end their relationship. The club would like to thank Under Armour for their support over the past two years and would like to wish them all the best for the future.”

The previous kit supplier was Macron S.p.A., the Italian sporting apparel company.

Aston Villa FC plays in the Championship, the second level of English football.
