Effective Tuesday, Meteorite PR has partnered with Snowsports Industries America (SIA) to be their public relations agency of record, overseeing all PR efforts for the industry trade association.
Supporting the snow sports industry since 1954, SIA is the non-profit, member-owned trade association with constituents in the supplier, retailer, rep and resort communities. SIA provides leadership to their members through insightful research, educational initiatives and other valuable opportunities to grow and strengthen their businesses. Just as important, SIA is committed to helping increase participation, growing the vibrant winter community and building the future of snow sports.

As a testament to SIA’s leadership position in the snow sports industry, president Nick Sargent traveled to Washington D.C. on August 27th to testify and express concern over the proposed tariffs on $200 billion consumer goods from China. “With even a slight increase in price, the sustainability of our industry is in jeopardy,” said Nick Sargent, CEO of SIA (in Outside Magazine) “because a price increase to consumers is fully expected to drive a decline in spending, which will ripple across local communities and tourist-dependent resort towns throughout the United States.”
