CenterStone Technologies, Inc. signed up team sports vendor Shock Doctor, Inc. as a user of its  iVendix software application.

iVendix will provide Shock Doctor with a business-to-business (B2B) online ordering solution for retail dealers and sales reps.  Dealers and reps use iVendix to view automated catalogs, check on the availability of product, place orders and track the status of those orders 24/7 via the Web.

“We selected CenterStone based on the depth and experience of their e-commerce solutions,” said Doug Pedersen, Shock Doctor vice president of operations. “We continually look for methods to provide our global customers and retail partners with sophisticated and superior service that allows them to place orders on demand, at any time.”

Shock Doctor has joined a growing list of companies that understand the need to become more accessible, given the speed at which business is changing and against the backdrop of a slowing economy.commented, said Tom Detmer, CEO of CenterStone Technologies.

“To grow and thrive, let alone just survive, the old ways of conducting business at the wholesale level have to be replaced with more efficient processes,” Detmer said. “We are seeing more and more companies come to this realization, that their B2B site, targeted at specialty retailers and sales reps, is as important as their B2C Web site, which is targeted at consumers.”

Essentially, Detmer said iVendix becomes the foundation for Shock Doctor’s B2B internet strategy for their retailer community. In addition to being an order-taking engine for dealers and sales reps, iVendix can deliver targeted marketing messages and promotions to the specialty retailers – the wholesale buyers – who, in reality, spend more dollars directly with a manufacturer than individual consumers.

Other companies using CenterStone’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform include: VF Corp brands The North Face, JanSport, Vans, Reef and VF Imagewear; Pearl Izumi; Jarden Corp. brands Marmot Mountain, Ex Officio and Marker Apparel, Quiksilver, Yakima and Under Armour.

In addition to a full line of patented, technologically-advanced mouthguards, Shock Doctor offers a comprehensive line of protection products, including core protective gear for hockey, football, baseball, soccer, martial arts and boxing; lacrosse and motorsports equipment; and a full line of Power Dry Gear Bag Systems.  The company is headquartered in Plymouth, Minnesota.
