VF Outdoor Americas announced that Shaz Kahng has joined lucy activewear as president. Most recently, she was the Global Director of Business Development of
Women's Training at Nike, after serving as Global GM of Nike Cycling.

Kahng will be responsible for leading all aspects of the lucy(R) brand, including product, marketing, retail, e-commerce and operations.

“Shaz Kahng is a proven business leader within the sports industry with significant expertise in retail brand marketing and business strategy. She's ideal for taking the lucy(R) brand to the next level of growth,” said Steve Rendle, President of VF Corporation's Outdoor Americas Coalition.

Kahng has over 20 years of experience in product development, merchandising, brand marketing, multi-channel retail and business turnarounds. Prior to Nike, Kahng held leadership positions with Wolff Olins, a global brand consultancy, and Scient, an e-business company, where she helped build mvp.com and Sephora.com. She also was a Partner at Kurt Salmon Associates, a global retail consulting firm, where she worked with companies like Tiffany & Co., Liz Claiborne and The Limited.

Kahng holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor's of science degree in chemistry and food science from Cornell University.

Over the past ten years, the lucy brand has grown from lucy.com, an online-only retailer, to a national bricks-and-mortar chain operating 65 stores. In August of 2007, VF Corporation, a global leader in lifestyle branded apparel, completed its acquisition of lucy activewear, Inc.
