The Sport & Fitness Professional Resource Center (SFPRC), the parent company for Personal Training Academy Global (PTAG) and Personal Training on the Net (PTN), brought on Dr. Kevin Steele to chair its Advisory Board.

Steele will actively participate across all companies within the SFPRC in building, establishing and delivering business development and educational resources for all branches of the sport, health and fitness industries.

Steele began his career as a faculty member in Physical Education and Sports Medicine at Pepperdine University while also working with a local physician specializing in Preventive Executive Healthcare Programs for corporations throughout the U.S. He was then recruited by Health & Tennis Corporation of America as the Director of Education, Research and Member Services, where he managed the fitness department and launched the first national platform for personal training.

Steele joined 24 Hour Fitness initially as the VP of health services/corporate sales, where he managed the fitness department, integrated health care into the clubs and developed 24 Hour Fitness University. Later he became VP of sports marketing, managing all of the professional, collegiate and Olympic sports relationships. Steele has also served as the VP of Research and Business Development for Lifetime Fitness, where he orchestrated the launch of the Lifetime Fitness Triathlon Series.

“As an industry renowned innovator, speaker and diplomat, Kevin will help open new important health, sport and fitness channels in need of our advanced business development and education resources,” said Neal Spruce, chairman of the board, SFPRC. “The better we equip our facilities and staff with resources that work to accomplish members immediate goals, the more people will come into our doors and stay. Dr. Steele brings an important element to the equation that helps crack the code of staving off member and trainer attrition.”
