Teespring, the social commerce platform, has appointed Les Green, who formerly helped spearhead Nike’s NikeiD efforts, as VP of marketing.
Green will be tasked with working with and growing the company’s Rolodex of creators and platform partners, which include YouTube, Instagram, Twitch and, as of last week, TikTok.
Most recently, Green was senior brand director Nike By You (f.k.a. NikeiD) from November 2018 to September 2020. Prior roles include Nike Mexico senior brand director and Nike Africa marketing director. He joined Nike in 2015 as global brand director Nike Sportswear from Wieden + Kennedy.
In a statement, Chris Lamontagne, Teespring’ CEO, called Green’s appointment “a significant moment for our creators, their fans and the business as a whole.”
“We already see that content and culture have moved to be primarily driven by social media, so it’s inevitable that commerce will follow suit.”
Green said. “I am excited to move to a company unrivaled in the space — where any relevant creator can scale their influence in almost any arena and reap more of the benefits by connecting directly to their fans.”
