Ascent Outdoors, which closed suddenly in late April, will re-open at least one store in July after being acquired by Sandeep Nain, the founder of retail and mountain climbing group Miyar Adventures, according to the Seattle Times.
Nain acquired Ballard Ascent Outdoors and Ascent Cycle stores, according to the report. The store in Ballard, a neighborhood in northwestern Seattle, will re-open in July. Nain is still deciding whether the Ascent Cycle store, also in the Ballard section, will continue to exist as a separate location or combine with the Ascent Outdoors store. Ascent Outdoors store in Redmond will not be reopening.
