Scott Mountain will build on the successful winter launch of its line of technical outerwear by showcasing its next generation of all-season products from Scott Sports, including lightweight technical apparel and running shoes, at the 2012 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City next week.

With a rich heritage of innovation beginning in 1958 with the first aluminum ski pole, Scott continues to expand its offering to multi-sport outdoor athletes.

“Looking at both hardgoods and softgoods, from bikes to skis, helmets to footwear, and now moving into 4-season technical and lifestyle apparel, we're uniquely positioned as one of the few outdoor brands that truly is always in season” said Adam Greene, US Marketing Manager.

Working with leading manufacturers in the textile sector including Gore-Tex and Primaloft, in addition to developing innovative fabrics in-house, Scott brings to market a Spring/Summer Outdoor collection that provides comfort, protection, and style to athletes and recreationalists in any season. The Spring/Summer 2013 apparel line includes the AMT (All Mountain Tech) collection, an ultra-lightweight, seamless combination of pieces designed to move effortlessly through the mountains, whether in the saddle or on foot.

Spring 2013 marks an exciting time for Scott Running, which will launch the next generation of lightweight performance shoes built on the eRide platform. “eRide is a footwear technology present in all Scott running and outdoor shoes. Its specific sole construction addresses all foot strike patterns and guarantees a smoother ride throughout foot-ground contact,” said Simon Luthi, Ph.D. and founder of i-generator labs of Portland, OR. The 2013 line includes breakthrough evolutions of the eRide platform for trail, performance road, and triathlon with the introduction of the T2 Kinabalu, T2 Evo, and T2 Pro Evolution, respectively.
