Salomon is bringing its CityTrail urban race series to the 14 U.S. cities next month in partnership with local running shops.
The program, which Salomon already offers in many European countries, pairs runners with Salomon guides from local shops for 5K and 10K runs along urban routes designed by Salomon guides to show “help bring the exploration and excitement of trail running to an urban environment.”
In Boulder, CO, for instance, Boulder Running Company, Boulder Nordic Sport and Denver Run House will be hosting races starting in May.
Runners can register to participate at citytrail.salomonrunning.com, using the brand’s a yet-to-be-released CityTrail app or at select shops, where they can don a pair of Salomon CityTrail shoes and then follow a Salomon guide on a run past historical landmarks, down hidden paths and to scenic overlooks.
Retailers are participating in Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chattanooga, Denver/Boulder, Detroit, Los Angelese, Minneapolis, New York, Portland (OR), Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco and Washington DC.
