Amer Sports Corp. announced the planned appointment of Franco Fogliato as president and CEO of Salomon. The appointment will be effective no later than March 15, 2022. Fogliato will be charged with leading its international business.

With Franco’s leadership and deep experience in designing profitable growth for major sportswear brands, I am confident that Salomon can reach another level, and we look forward to his input. ”
Fogliato most recently held the position of executive vice president global omnichannel for Columbia Sportswear based in Portland, OR. His more than two decades of experience also includes roles at The North Face and Billabong. He resigned from Columbia Sportswear effective September 3.

He succeeds Jean-Marc Pambet who returned after retirement as interim leader for Salomon in January 2021. “We sincerely thank Jean-Marc for his strong leadership and contributions in guiding Salomon through this period and for returning from retirement to his company after completing a brilliant 34-year career with Salomon,” added Zheng.
