Gaetano Sallorenzo will join The Warnaco Group, Inc. as President and CEO of Calvin Klein Jeans and Sportswear for Europe and Asia, beginning in late January 2006. He will report to Frank Tworecke, Warnaco's Group President, Sportswear, and will be based in Florence, Italy.

As announced on December 20, 2005, Warnaco has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the licenses and related assets of the wholesale and retail businesses of Calvin Klein jeanswear and accessories in Europe and Asia and the CK Calvin Klein “bridge” sportswear and accessories lines in Europe. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2006.

Sallorenzo, 48, most recently served as a President of Giorgio Armani, North America, where he was responsible for the retail and wholesale businesses of all the Giorgio Armani brands. Prior to that, he was President of the Benetton Group, based in Treviso, Italy. During the course of his career, he held senior management positions at Liz Claiborne, where he was President of International Development, and Ralph Lauren, where he was Executive Vice President for the women's and accessories businesses in Europe.

Joe Gromek, Warnaco's President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, “We are very pleased to add Gaetano to our leadership team. We believe that his experience managing designer brands and global businesses makes him an ideal candidate to head our new Calvin Klein operations in Europe and Asia. He will be joining a great team that has already been successful in growing the brand and developing a dynamic organization. Gaetano joins us at a very exciting time in Warnaco's evolution, as we look toward developing our Calvin Klein businesses on a truly global platform.”

Tom Murry, President of Calvin Klein, Inc. commented, “We are very pleased with Warnaco's selection of Gaetano. We look forward to working with him and the rest of the Warnaco team on these important initiatives in Europe and Asia.”
