Safilo Group S.p.A. shareholders approved the company’s 2017 financial statement, the appointment of Angelo Trocchia as CEO and a new board of directors at Tuesday’s shareholders meeting.

The company in February had reported that CEO Luisa Delgado would retire from the company at the end of month for personal reasons. Chairman Eugenio Razelli took over Delgado’s duties until new CEO, Trocchia, took charge. Trocchia, who was previously chairman and CEO at Unilever Italia, joined Safilo as a manager on April 1.

The company also increased its board of directors to nine members. The directors are Eugenio Razelli, Angelo Trocchia, Melchert F. Groot, Jeffrey A. Cole, Robert Polet, Ines Mazzilli, Cinzia Morelli-Verhoog, Catherine Gérardin-Vautrin and Guido Guzzetti
