Jagged Edge, a mountain clothing company founded in Telluride in 1991, has been acquired by Russell Corp. Jagged Edge, now located in Moab, Utah, has retail stores in Telluride, Breckenridge and Crested Butte.
Jagged Edge is expected to maintain much of the control over sales, marketing and product, with Russell adding support on the operational side. Founders Margaret and Paula Quenemoen will remain with the company.
The company will get out of the retail business and focus strictly on building a wholesale brand.
Jagged Edge had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in May 2002.
