RSR Group, Inc.’s Founder and Chairman Robert Steger announced his plans to retire on June 30, 2020, after 42 years with the company. Steger is one of the original founders, starting the company in a two-car garage in Rochester, NY in 1977. He served as President and CEO of RSR Group from 1983 to 2008. His dedication to the company and driving principles of honesty, integrity and customer service have earned the company a great reputation in the shooting sports industry.
Steger’s strategic vision for the brand, which evolved from humble beginnings to a leading shooting sports distributor, focused on his commitment to employees, customers and vendor partners. His inspiration and direction led to the firearms industry’s first virtual trade show, the RSR Group EShow.
JoAnn Weisenford, RSR Group’s President and CEO, commented on Bob’s career achievements, “Bob has impacted so many lives in a positive way, providing the entire RSR family with the opportunity to have such wonderful and rewarding careers.
