Rossi USA has signed on as the Title Sponsor to Whitetails Unlimited’s Kids on Target program. The popular program was introduced as a pilot program in 2008, with a focus on encouraging our nation’s youth to get off the couch, enjoy the great outdoors, and become actively involved in the shooting sports.


“This program was an immediate success, and we’re thrilled to welcome Rossi USA as a Title Sponsor,” said WTU Executive Director Pete Gerl. “This sponsorship will ensure that the program keeps expanding, and more kids will get involved in the shooting sports – safely, with adult supervision.”


“Rossi USA has been making great firearms for more than a century, and they understand the importance of getting new hunters and shooters involved in the sport,” said Kevin Devault, WTU’s manager of conservation funding. “Program sponsorship is ultimately about funding a solid program, but this is also an effective marketing tool for our sponsors. Everyone involved in Kids on Target will know that Rossi USA is helping them participate, and they will go away with a positive feeling about Rossi. We really can’t thank them enough.”


The Kids on Target program took off quickly, with requests to WTU’s headquarters coming in from California to Maryland, and Texas to Minnesota.


“It was a good-news, bad-news situation at first, with so many requests we were worried about filling all of them. But with Rossi USA’s support we’ll be able to meet the program goals,” said Gerl. “In fact, we’ve got some exciting news about a new aspect of the program that will be announced in the near future.”
