Backbone Media LLC  has hired industry veteran Mike May. May will spearhead day to day communications for long time Backbone clients Brunton and Gerber as well as new partner Outdoor Alliance.

May has over nine years of media relations experience serving a variety of clients in the outdoor, cycling, snowsports and fitness industries.

“We continue to serve our clients with media planning and buying, social media strategy and execution, brand consulting and PR,” explains partner Nate Simmons. “Mike’s passion for the outdoors and superior client service, combined with his approach to PR, are representative of the attitude carried throughout Backbone and we’re excited to welcome him as part of the team.”

“For the better part of the past decade I’ve had the privilege of working in an industry I love, with clients I respect and with people who make all the difference,” said May. “I’m energized to take the next step with Backbone and integrate myself with the amazing talent the agency has to offer.”

May joins Dax Kelm and Sarah Hubbard at Backbone’s northern office in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Accounts handled out of JH include Boa Lacing Systems, Brunton, Cloudveil, Gerber, Hydrapak, Klean Kanteen Outdoor Alliance, McNett, POC and Reusablebags.com.
