Rodale Inc announced that Tom Beusse has been
appointed President of the Men's Health and Sports Group. Steve Murphy,
President and CEO, made the announcement. Beusse begins his appointment
immediately and will continue to report to Murphy.

“Tom has been instrumental in building a strong, vibrant
organization with a clear mission and sense of purpose. His collaborative
leadership style, his work ethic and his inexorable 'can do' attitude are a
model of great management,” said Murphy.

In his role, Beusse will continue to head the consolidated Men's
Health and Sports Group, which includes Men's Health, Runner's World,
Backpacker, Bicycling, Mountain Bike and Scuba Diving, all of which are
leaders in their categories. He will also continue to oversee the group's
book initiatives and circulation and online teams.

Since Beusse joined Rodale in 2001 as Senior Vice President and
Managing Director of the Sports and Fitness Group, Men's Health and Runner's
World have grown ad revenues by 41 percent and 29 percent, respectively, and
more recently, comparable changes at the rest of the Sports titles show
promise of equal success. Additionally, he has been breaking new ground for
the company by establishing a successful Corporate Ad Sales division and by
restructuring a now-thriving Custom Publishing business.

Prior to joining Rodale, Beusse served as Vice President of
Advertising and Sponsorship for Broadband Sports, Inc., a new media company
specializing in content syndication, media sales and e-commerce. Beusse has
held various executive positions at Time Inc. From 1996 to 1999, he served
as New York Divisional Manager at Sports Illustrated. While there, he
oversaw 40 percent of the magazine's national advertising revenue and
managed the magazine's relationships with all the major professional sports
leagues.
