Nike Inc plans to close its Asia- Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong amid the global economic crisis, Sing Tao Daily reported. Nike may decide to keep positions managing its factories while the other 200 to 300 staff may be affected by the closure, the Chinese-language newspaper said, according to Bloomberg News.
Other offices will take over the work of the Hong Kong headquarters, which includes marketing, accounting and product design, according to the report.
