As of January 1, 2020, Nike is reportedly forbidding retail partners from shipping Nike products internationally, according to highsnobiety.com. The move is reportedly designed to provide Nike with more control over distribution and support demand for local drops.
Highsnobiety.com said Nike’s new guidelines expressly forbid its retail partners from shipping “outside of their trading territory.”
Nike’s reported letter to retailers reads, “Shipping to consumers internationally is in violation of Nike Terms & Conditions of Sale. Violation of Nike’s distribution policies may result in corrective actions up to and including discontinuing Retailer access to Nike product.”
