Reebok International, Ltd. has added renowned dance-based fitness company, Doonya, to join its list of brand ambassadors.

Reebok was inspired by Doonya's high-energy, cardio-dance program that offers an upbeat, positive workout that aligns perfectly with Reeboks initiatives within the dance space.

Reebok said it has been embracing the dance fitness community by developing a line of dance apparel and footwear that was created to cater to the technical needs of a dancer.    The footwear offers pivot points, toe grips for turns, and key flexion points in the outsole to support specific moves in dance. Partnering with Doonya, a Bollywood dance-inspired fitness program that offers group classes and at-home routines through a 3-set DVD series reinforces the sportswear brand's dedication to women's fitness and the benefits of dance fitness programs.

“I'm really excited about this,” says Priya Pandya, co-founder of Doonya. “While traditionally we've always danced barefoot, we quickly realized that with the intensity of a fitness program we need great shoes to take care of our feet. We felt that Reebok understood what was needed in dance shoes and apparel.”

The Reebok dance collection embraces Doonya's mission statement of encompassing a feel-good program led by the power of music, fitness and a passion for an overall healthier lifestyle. Much like Bollywood itself, Doonya offers students the opportunity to leave their troubles behind as they dance their worries away.

A subsidiary of the adidas Group, Reebok operates under multiple divisions of the Reebok brand, Reebok-CCM Hockey and the Sports Licensed Division. For more information, visit www.reebok.com.
