L.L. Bean is recalling the Summit Safety Harness, which was included in the accessory packet that came with the Summit Treestand, purchased sometime after June 2005. Summit Treestands, LLC has worked with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to voluntarily recall the safety harnesses sold with the following treestands at L.L.Bean: Summit Viper X5 (0BRC2), Summit Bushmaster X5 (5N887) and Summit Bullet Backpacker (5J639). During a fall, a manufacturing defect may result in product failure, posing an injury hazard.
